The Portside Optimizer can build an efficient aircraft and crew schedule while taking into account aircraft and crew availability, maintenance, training, relocation costs, and risk to the schedule. Exchanges between aircraft types, and an unlimited number of business rules can be considered in creating the most efficient schedule.

Optimizer can aggregate requests to take advantage of multiple aircraft types, and heterogenous cargo / passenger requests in order to optimize the flight schedule. Most customers optimize for cost, fulfillment of most requests, and risk, as well as “blended” strategies. Multiple optimizations are supported to help you achieve your objectives for every mission. While our Optimizer is highly configurable, we also customize the product for most enterprise customers.

Efficient and quick to use

Optimizer was developed to run quickly - usually in under 10 minutes. This gives the dispatch team flexibility to re-run scenarios multiple times per day and communicate changes to the crew, even if they are already in the air.

The dispatch team is always in control

Optimizer will produce solutions and compute pre/post comparison with respect to cost and/or other objectives. The dispatch team can reject individual suggestions and re-run the scenarios. This gives dispatchers ultimate control and makes the product resilient to changing requirements as well as unique circumstances or demands.

Integrated into your environment

Portside Optimizer can capture requests and pull data from your scheduling / OPS systems, and depending on the system, promote scenarios back to your OPS system, saving you time. If an OPS system doesn’t allow automated scenario promotion, Portside will provide system-specific step by step instructions, making it easier to promote scenarios manually.
